Children at age four are delightful.  Their minds and spirits are opened to the world. They are confident in what they know but are eager to understand and learn more. They are awesome!  It’s my favorite age.

So, it is understandable that when I rediscovered this photo (annotated on the back “Doris age four”) I was immediately drawn to the image.  Me at age four… happy, self assured and ready to take on the world.

This photo sits in the bookcase just above my computer screen. She is my little muse.
